VFA membership conditions:
VFA member agrees to:
- respect the notion of fair play
- be responsible, disciplined and representing club on and off the field
- be committed, willing to improve and become a professional footballer
- attend the Academy regularly and punctually, give notice of and reasons for any absence
-practise techniques and skills not just during training sessions
-apply maximum effort and determination during training sessions, matches and all other academy areas
- follow a lifestyle appropriate to the development – spending leisure time positively
- reach the high standards of stamina and fitness levels
- show mutual respect, creating a positive team atmosphere
- be supportive to teammates and helping each other
- make the most of the fantastic opportunity of being in VFA
- do best to reach goals in school
- pay a membership fee of 100 Sk monthly
Players code of conduct:
- play fair everytime
- be proud to be a VFA member
- have a good relationship with players, coaches, and spectators
- do not argue with your coach
- respect the laws of the game
- treat your teammates as you would like to be treated
- shake hands after a game whether you win or lose the match
- accept success and failure, victory and defeat with good grace
- respect the opponents abilities
- control your temper, accept that mistakes are part of learning
- wear your club sweatshirt for training sessions
- do not wear expensive jewellery
- take care of your material, dirty football shoes or equipment show your relation to football
- always do your best in training sessions and games
- start your day with stretching exercises
- do not drink sweet beverages, pay attention to your daily regime
Parents code of conduct:
- promote and adopt a good attitude towards everyone
- respect the notion of fair play, not victory for every reason
- respect the rules governing spectator areas
- do not shout or coach from the spectator area or the side line
- do not enter the field during training sessions and games
- support and encourage by fair means
- know and understand why your son is playing – is a part of his on-going football education, not to get results
- accept, that mistakes are part of learning
- if you have any concerns, make an appointment to see a coach
- show respect to all coaches
